If they are ceramic tile you can use acetone. Do not use it on other types
of tile or it might dissolve them.

Thanks for replying, I got all the stickiness up with the alcohol, but there
was a non sticky film left. My wile has been scrubbing it with cleanser and
a scrub brush and it's not as bad as it was this morning.
The funny thing is that I've been thinking about buying some flux remover. I
just built 5 PCBs and was asking at work where I could buy some and
everybody there said that I didn't need it. They said to just use alcohol,
but I'm not real happy with how the board looks after using it. I don't have
any place locally to buy such things. I actually had a can in my hand a few
weeks ago when I was out of town and then changed my mind at the last
minute.
Oh well, the wife says she's making progress so we'll see. I'm just glad it
wasn't carpet.
