Homebrew_PCBs@yahoogroups.comSubject: [Homebrew_PCBs] Coating: Acrylic or Silicone based?Hi,
I have some PCB's in a place with a lot of moisture (basically the system is on the top of a small moutain around 1000 meters above sea level).
Normally I use Kontak Chemie's Plastik 70 to protect my PCB's, but in this case it does not work. Yesterday in a preventive maintenance I had found that the PCB tracks are almost gone with corrosion.
I need advice how to protect the PCB's in this environment. I had see that acrylic and silicone based coating products exist on the market. I guess silicone based are better for this applications, but I'm not sure. Can anyone advise some produts to better solve this problem?
Thanks in advance
Joaquim
