Subject: Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] Other laminators for 0.062in material?

To get a GBC H535 for a reasonable price you must keep an eye on eBay and Craigs list! I got my unit for $95 including shipping,By being patient!
When I decided to get one I kept my eys peeled on ebay and I found one with no bids very late on a weekend evening!

There is a database listing for users laminator feedback. There are others that are much cheaper that will take .062 boards listed !

My H535 does an excellent job on .062 G10 boards that I have .The front panel says the max temp is 338F but my boards come out great
when using HP Presentation paper! I have not had time to open the cover to see if there is a temp adjustment in there.

I have not tried it with Staples photo paper yet! I pass my boards thru between 10-13 times to be sure and also to make sure the board goes right back in after it comes out the back,so that it doesnt cool down between passes.

I use a HP 2100 laser printer that I found for $25! So you can go first class if you are patient!

Previous postings indicated the GBC H535 Laminator is satisfactory for
.062 inch material, but the price is in the hundreds of dollars.

Anyone know of a less expensive laminator that will work with 0.062 inch
circuit board?

I think if you use a carrier it might not work. The total clearance seems to be .061". The 061 material is so stiff and the board seems to drop slightly going in and raises coming out creating the possible problem. I am looking into increasing the slot width on one or both sides to eliminate this possible problem. Ed
