Hi ...
I using matte paper. I print using laser printer (maximum dark) on the matte paper. I iron the PCB with the matte paper (by putting iron stationary ... dont move) for 1 minute. The iron setting is maximum.
After that, put the PCB in cool water for 10 minutes. Then peel off the paper. Then clean the toner with Thinner or aceton. So far I got good result. Sometime need to touch with 'LUMOCOLOR' Staedtler permanent pen.
Or you can put the paper (after printed with laser) together with PCB through laminator for 7 times. So far not so good result.
;)

What paper are you using? I am using Staples Photo Basic Gloss. I
iron the transfer down for 5 minutes, then cool the pcb under cold
water. Then I pull the paper right off. Then I etch the board and
(thanks to Luc Small) then soak a kitchen scratchpad in acetone to
clean the traces off. The boards I am doing are 3 by 3 but really
takes no time at all to get the paper or toner off of the traces.
