I'm actually more interested on his other idea of replacing the laser
diode of the printer but instead of UV one, use a laser diode from a
dvd burner. I could then coat a PCB with black etch resist ink and
burn the layout on it. The downside tho, from what I've seen on other
hacks on dvd burner laser diode, it'd be very slow, and I still have
to etch the board afterwards. Not to mention if the laser diode would
actually be compatible with the controller. Anyhow it's just a
thought, just another fun project for a hobbyist like me.
