I am experimenting with inkjet in the lab and print different kinds
of solutions. Here is my way to keep the cost down:

- use an HP printer were the printhead is in the printing cartridge.
I have a cheap 30$ printer that works fine.
- find a cartridge refiller and buy the empty ink cartridges in bulk
(I only use the black ones to keep things simple) That way one empty
cartridge costs me 3 Euros.
- Crack the top of the cartridge off, discard the sponge inside and
remove the filter over the nozzles. Now the cartridge can be cleaned
with destilled water or alcohol.
- Refill to about 1/3 height with new solution to be printed, put
the
lid back on and secure with electric tape or something similar.
These cartridges can be reused many times. Just be sure to rinse
them
really well after each use, or the nozzles clog.

About your resin: Have you tried to dilute simple clear laquer with
isopropanol? There would be no heating necessary. Isopropanol is a
better solvent than ethanol for inkjet, because of the higher
viscosity.
