My favorite is the lexmark Optra L or R series. You can get this for
a couple of peanuts on ebay. The cartridges are cheap too, except you
buy them direct from IBM/Lexmark. There is a nearly flat pass trough
via manual paper tray and you are able to print to thic paper without
troubles. May be I should try it direct to PCB with a nearly empty
cartridge ;-)

With 1200 dpi this one is not realy fast but very clear, robust and
cheap. With 600 dpi it is fast enough for me.

P.S. Can someone explain me, why very often you can read the same
texts in 5 or 6 mails again? Please remove the old portion of text
that is not necessary to follow the thread.
