That's an interesting idea...
You can only focus UV light just as much as you can focus visible light, but there are cheap lasers that emit light in the UV range. I believe the lasers used in DVD players emit light in the UV range, but don't quote me on that.

I recently saw a few articles on using UV leds to expose photoresist
type boards and have to admit, I have tried various methods and am going
to try this one. I also did a quick search in this list archives before
starting this thread.
I was wondering in one could concentrate the UV light from a LED via a
lens like in the laser pointers and create a pin point uv light. Then,
in making a CNC type machine (yes I belong to the cnc groups as well)
use this method to simply draw the tracks onto the board directly. One
would have to create a test run every sop often but I wouldn't mind
seeing anyone elses posts if they have tried this.
