Yes, that oven even has a fan, although the sparkfun people apparently
didn't identify it:
"An overhead shot of the AC transformer?" showing a picture of the very
obvious split pole motor connected very obviously to a fan housing....
welll..
I'm still not convinced such an oven will heat fast enough, but it should
be easy to make a slot in the left side to slide a PCB in like the
industrial prototyping ovens.
Somehow, i do not like the sparkfun people. I mean actually thinking it is
a good idea to have PC control instead of a simply user interface just
because they can't figure out how to make do with the pins...
Anyway, thanks for the link.
I guess i really need to get that oven and see how quick it heats up.
Maybe i'll even add some heaters... but if it can't do a proper soldering
profile i won't fool around with something that cooks components for 30
minutes and instead go with the slide-in version.
