The 300 DPI "blocky" or coarsely dithered graphics from my HP LJ IIIP
is why I donated it to FreeCycle and bought the Brother 2040. Tough
tradeoff, since the Brother is certainly not optimally suited for
toner transfer. It works nicely for bulk printing, though, and I
don't have to use up ink on my Canon i860 Inkjet.
Maybe I should have kept the IIIP and converted it to a fuser-type
laminator unit, Stefan, but at that time, I didn't know about that
particular option.
