Yes I tried to work with permanent markers, and I had good results. I used an OHP marker and it worked fine with Ferro chloride.

I can not seem to find any floor polish that you speak about.
In this country, the only floor polishes that I can find are wax based and
thus rather thick.

Have you tried any permanent markers?
I see on the PCB home page, they use a Staedtler 318 LUMOCOLOR pen.

How does this cope with the Ferro chloride?

Any help is always appreciated.
