Just don't use that stupid software.
Install just the drivers (ASPI? don't remember - but standard for webcams)
and use some good graphics software, even freeware. There is a separate
directory for drivers-only installation on the QX3 software CD.
If You have installed all the software, drivers are allready here.
Than use the microscope as a scanner (files->select source, files->acquire
image) and you will see everything You need.
Look for the correct kind of graphics software - some of them close scanner
window after each picture snap, others don't. I used IrfanView - that one is
good.
