Personally, I find the DW waveforms to be nothing that special,
compared to what's available in tons of free softsynths out there (and
it would be easier to 'grab' the waveforms from software than from a
hardware synth).
What I find more interesting is the DW's analog filter, which I would
love to run a freestanding VCO module through, if only the DW had an
analog input.
However, I do love taking samples of Prophet 5, OBX, Jupiter 8
oscillators and running them through my Korg DSS-1 (which is a
souped-up DW8000 with sampling).
In fact, you can probably get your hands on the rest of the DW8000
waveforms by checking out the disk library of the DSS-1, as most or
all of these waveforms were ported over to that synth, along with
larger samples.
