To recap, the LCD Support PCB adds support for a 16x2 LCD display for the
PSIM or CVS. Characters are written by sending MIDI data to the device. It
also has a MIDI in/out subcircuit for adding MIDI to a PSIM. Finally, it
can be configured to operate as a standalone MIDI monitor. PCB by John
Loffink, AVR code by Dave Brown.
The board can run off +15 V or + 5 V power. Using +15 V requires a heatsink
for the 7805 5 V regulator, as shown.

I have an LCD running from the Support PCB and Dave's preprogrammed AVR
