Subject: Still moving ahead

OK, we had to iron out some issues.

Nathan from Basic Micro supplied us with the info we needed for precessor module pin
assignments.

John Loffink pointed out that the attenuated inputs could be calibrated, that eliminates
eight extra jacks. Dave Brown reccomended moving new feature control to an I2C port
expander. That allows the CVS to be backwards software compatible with the PSIM.
Brilliant ideas.

We have a consensus on the basic design. Both 5 volt 1/4" systems and 10 volt 1/8"
systems will be supported by using different resistor values on assembly. There is going to
be a "port" for people to add there own perf board built input circuits with the features of
software programable gain and offset for inputs. That gives an option for people who need
both 5 and 10 volt ranges at different times.

Hopefully, Harry will have the time soon to do the actual PC board layout.

The project is still very much alive.

Much thanks to Dave Brown, John Loffink and Harry Bissel for enthusiasm and all of the
really smart ideas. Also for having a good sense of humor for probably misspelling their
names.
