Hello everyone!
I thought I'd post up something before dropping back into (mostly)
lurkage for now.
I'm an amateur musician (professional bicycle repair man), based in
the North-East of England. In the last 4-5 years, I've taken
advantage of a number of these fine people who are producing analogue
music synthesisers to build up a modular instrument, which has given
me a great deal of pleasure, and musical inspiration as well.
I was (& I guess still am) looking forward to getting the PSIM-1 and
learning basic and having a go at writing some note sequencing apps,
basic being something I haven't faffed around with since school, 20
yrs ago. Still waiting patiently here for now, though.
I'll be reading the messages here w/some interest. One thing I'd be
interested in if it could be created would be an iteration of the old
Roland MicroComposer sequencing method in module form - 2 or 4
channels where each sequence of notes is broken down/edited/inputted
via 3 levels - note #, step time, and gate time (a proportion of step
time - 100% being legato) - I used to have a lot of fun with the old
MC202 unit, in fact I don't think I had as much fun writing note
sequences with anything I've used since. It's pretty fast with
practice. Plus it would be a handy tool for live performance with a
modular instrument.
Anyway, enough from me.
