The KAOSS KP1 does have a MIDI out. That is one of the options I am looking
at instead of chopping up the AN1X. The Korg Kontrol doesn't have
aftertouch, so that's out. The Novation Remote series look pretty nice,
especially the new ones with the long LED displays for the assigned
parameters. They have aftertouch, too.
I dont why it never occured to me, but I guess you could just snitch the
pots out of any MIDI knob box and drop them into a joystick chassis. I have
a Behringer BSR2000 that I use to control my Evolver and MicroModular but I
don't wanna chop that up either. Maybe one of the earlier MIDI knob things
I could get cheap on Ebay or something.
