I use a Roland EV-5 which has a (physical) depth adjustment knob.
Works fine with the Yammie for most things. Unfortunately, most of
the cool AN1x routings require that you use the patch mod matrix
rather than the common settings. Which requires you to program patch
by patch.
However, mod wheel (for scene morph) is available in the common area.
One problem I noted is that the Roland is just a little shy of the
entire morph range (0-127 steps instead of 1-128?). This becomes a
problem when morphing between two patches that have different
oscillator tunings. Since the morph does not go all the way (C3 to
C4) you get stuck with a "wrong" note (B) at the end of the morph. I
tend not to use such morphs since I detest the sound of stair-stepped
pitch sweeps, but if you do these you will have a problem with the EV-
5. I wonder if there is a way to cure this problem?
I bought it at GC (I forget how much). ZZounds has them for $60.
Cheers,
Jerry
