I was very successful in using the AN200 as a controller for the Triton Extreme. A few alterations in setting the TE to use some controls of the AN200 was accomplished.
I recorded both AN200 and TE on one midi track and at the same time recorded the AN200 by itself on another. I was then able to edit each as needed to remove all my all thumbs. Play each to a separate audio track for effects and later mixing. Track (sample mp3 to listen too, later project file) heading to band member to see if he wants to add or alter. I'll give this a try with the ION(and other synths) at a later date.
I had my doubts if this would fly or not. Was not that hard using midi ox to know what each control does. Setting the TE to respond in kind, using Sonar this time as the midi router. It might be worth looking into using the AN200 as a controller if you have not given that a thought before.
I still got a long ways to go to know all the in's and out's of it but this was pretty darn interesting which will work great live.
