Thanks for the good word. I spent the last year totally revamping
the Martyr Complex sound and so far it's paying off. We're getting
clubplay in Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, and London now, and radio play
in Berlin and Prague. Hopefully we can parlay that into European
distribution.

On 'Consumption', pretty much all the synth sounds are from AnniX.
This one is really guitar heavy, so we didn't need to use more than
like 5 tracks from AnniX. Pretty much all of the sounds we use on
the synth are ones that I've tweaked out over the past few years. If
I recall, the bass was originally modified from the UberTomte sound
about two years ago, and we ran it through a Behringer Composer Pro
XL to thicken it up, and a Lexicon MPX100 to give it a bit more
thump. String sound was one of the default factory string patches
recorded direct and then modified out the yin-yang in Sound Forge.

'TV Fuhrer' was one that almost never got finished. Had it
sequenced out for like 2 years but never found the right sound for
it. Spent a few weeks tweaking out some sounds on they synth and
finally came up with the bassy raver synth at the beginning. Funny
thing is, when we uploaded it to the German site, it put a lot of
distortion in it. The original wav and mp3 tracks are totally clean,
but I like it distorted so I never changed it. The bass is actually
from my Novation K-station. The high-pitched synth on the chorus
bits was an accident - my son was playing with the synth before we
recorded and he had the Mod wheel turned all the way up. Heard it
and loved it, so we kept it.

I bought this synth right after it came out, and at one point I was
literally the only person I knew who owned one. I'm thrilled that
such a versatile synth has finally gotten the recognition it has
always deserved. I still get in drunken arguments with people that
the synth kicks major ass, even if it isn't red with wooden
hardware ;)
