I got good results recording the AN1X dry, then running it through a
vintage compressor plug in, turning up the output and saturation
control, then giving it a little reverb. With the reverb I just
messed with the room size until I got the reverb I was looking for,
then I turned the reverb down a little (I tend to go overboard).
In the mix, the synth sounds analog.The compressor gave it a little
punch and the reverb gives it a little air.
