10cc were a weird band - they wrote bubblegum pop, and yet were actually at
the forefront of musical creativity. They composed simple songs that were
complex essays on pop music - they were almost a parody of themselves -
possibly the Frank Zappas of English pop! Like the 'Gizmo' that Creme and
Godley invented which I think (I may be wrong here) was the first guitar
synth. Not bad of a two-bit pop band from Manchester:)
