Looking at your message written on 9/15 (after my e-mail), I still see that your setup was NOT CORRECTED...
For example , this part of your SETUP is practically fully wrong (and I wrote it in my message on 9/14) :
CUBASE MME SETUP
MIDI INPUT=SW1000 MIDI IN
MIDI-YOKE 1
MIDI OUTPUT=SW1000 SYNTH1
SW1000 SYNTH 2
SW1000 MIDI OUT
You don't see WHY you need to use Midi Yoke..
The reason to use YOKE (Virtual MIDI PORT) is because you CAN'T have SEVERAL Applications outputting MIDI data to ONE midi port (SW1000 MIDI OUT in this case) at the same time.. [read it again].
you need that because you want to 1) send MIDI data (notes) from Cubase to AN-1x connected to SW1000 MIDI OUT , and 2) send MIDI data (Sysex - patches and control information) from AN1x-Edit to AN-1x connected to SW1000 MIDI OUT.
On your sound card (SW) this port (SW1000 MIDI OUT) is not Multi-Client-Capable .. you can buy GOOD midi-interface like Unitor8 or Midiex which IS multi-client-capable and you can use sev. apps at the same time.
OR you use MIDI YOKE.
For your situation MIDI Yoke should be used to HAVE ONE CONNECTION to "SW MIDI OUT" only, but you should use YOKE virtual port to connect CUBASE and AN-1x Edit to IT..
This is kinda a diagram showing it..
AN-1x Edit -> MIDI Yoke PORT 1
-> SW MIDI OUT -> AN-1x
CUBASE -> MIDI Yoke PORT 1
So .. in your "
CUBASE MME SETUP
MIDI OUTPUT=SW1000 SYNTH1
SW1000 SYNTH 2
SW1000 MIDI OUT"
SW1000 MIDI OUT must be NOT listed.. instead "YOKE PORT"(which is linked to SW MIDI OUT) should be !
I am not exactly familiar with Yoke's driver (so I can't tell you EXACTLY what buttons to push) but I was using HUBI loopback program several years ago.
you need to setup it so that there is some "MIDI YOKE Port 1"or whicever number u like which is an OUTPUT MIDI DEVICE and is ROUTED to "SW MIDI OUT"..
..
..
This (and my e-mail on 9/14 which is describing same ideas but shorter) SHOULD Help you Edit your setup...
If you have problems still - ask questions about something you don't understand, but don't write again "My setup is not working as I want, can anyone help me" again...
And BTW try making AN-1x Edit work at more default setting , without all the other synths and on-board SW synths.. use default setttings, like MIDI channel 1, Transmit - 1, Rcv. channel - 1, Device No. - ALL
Ray.
