Hi

Maybe you should open the synth and check all the connectors.
This helped me when I thought I had broken my An1x.

all it still does is make a lot of random flangey noises which seem to come
from its synthesis engine .. the sound does react to the amplification lfo,
but for the rest there's not much of it left resembling what was once a
'control synthesizer' .. :(

wondering if there are any people who have had this same problem, and
whether this can be fixed, and if letting yamaha fix it (if they still do
this, i have no warranty whatsoever) would be cheaper than buying another
an1x secondhand ... also, isn't it odd for a digital synth to make weird
noises when it's broken instead of providing some kind of error message on
the screen?
