Hi Jimmy,
>Sam Ash has one left. A Yamaha A5000 sampler for $500.00! Remember
>what a DX7 used to cost?
Actually, I recently picked up TWO brand new Alesis QSRs for under $600, including shipping. Granted, a) they were reconditioned units, and b) the QSR requires a PC or Mac and some free software as its sampler "front end" (recording console, editor, and UI), but I now have 128-voices, MIDI sequence playback, and up to 32MB of external (Flash) sample memory for less money than I paid for my one Alesis S4 (arguably, the QSR's predecessor) in 1991. Technology marches on! :^D
Regards,
-BW
