I can report an1xedit works like a charm on my PC. It installed and
functions right away. Even the dumping of a complete bank (128 voices
and 128 userarps) went painlessly, at least once now:). So I continue
to be a happy user of this fine program.

the problem lies in the fact that the AN1x doesn't have a "bulk dump"
MIDI command, so either you have to initiate one manually from the
synth (as I do to save files in Cakewalk), or you have to ask for each
preset one at a time (as I believe AN1x does). This means that there
is always a possible sync problem during the "Give me preset #1 ...
Here's #1 ... Give me #2 ..." dialog. If either side loses track, it
will stop and wait, which causes the other side to also stop and wait.
That's why I say that it might not actually be AN1xEdit's fault -- but
it can be frustrating. I hope you don't see the same problem.
