The Annie is a great sound generator, but only dual-timbral. It's also a decent master keyboard; not quite up to the likes of a Roland A-90 or such, but flexible enough for many needs. Some players have complained about the feel of the keyboard, but I quite like it. The eight knobs can be programmed to any MIDI CC#, as well as the pedal inputs.
I find that it's best to use it with local off, with the selector knob at the bottom, which gives immediate access to the Rx and Tx channels, bulk dumps, etc. Alternately, there is a setting that gives access to most of the arpeggiator and sequencer settings.
Regards,
-BW
