Set up your AN1X so that you have a lead synth sound on scene 1, and
a synth lead on scene 2. Make the lead sound on scene 2 a fifth above
scene 1 (it comes out to 7 on the tuning knob). Set the portamento on
scene 1 a little faster than scene 2. Layer the 2 sounds (dual) This
gives a nice chorused effect. Then you use the Free EG so that if you
hold the note very long, the whole sound explodes into a wall of
noise. Also-use legato mode.
Echo, plate reverb, and distortion sound good on this lead. Using osc
sync on one of the leads gives a nice cheerful metallic sound to
every thing. Try setting the pitch bend as far as it will go. Use the
mod wheel for pmod. 9 is a good amount. If you set each lead sound
with a pitch envelpe, one going up and one going down, you get some
interesting results. Also, if one sound has a fast attack, and the
other has a more leisurely attack, it's a nice blend.
