pmod is not the same as pwm (pulse width mod). Pmod gives you that
Bernie Worrell P Funk ginky vibrato when you turn the mod wheel. It's
a frequency modification meaning an lfo (low frequency oscillator)
varies the pitch of the note.. Pulse width modification uses an lfo
to change the width of the square wave, giving it a more nasal sound.
You can set the pwm to 0 and still be getting tons of pmod. You
should set the pmod to 0 and then try varying it with the free eg.
Using the random lfo for pmod gives an interesting sound like a
poorly recorded video soundtrack. Setting oscillator 1 and oscillator
2 at different levels of pmod gives an absolutely awful out of tune
cacophony.
