Wow, that seems really strange. I was using the Assign Device function in
the Utility menu once and found that changing a knob's continuous controller
number would disable the knob for the internal synth.
Here's some really simple, stupid, yet possibly useful advice: Reboot the
whole thing back to the factory defaults. If the buttons still don't
function, you've got a hardware problem.
