.SYX files are MIDIEX format (i.e. a file containing pure contiguous system
exclusive messages). They are used by some commercial synth librarians and
sequencers for storing patch dumps.

what can i do with this syx. file on my plg150an using gary gregson's
editor?

AN1xEdit can export to .SYX format ... but cannot read .SYX format.

You could load the .SYC into a suitable sequencer (e.g.. Cakewalk) and send
it to the PLG150AN (this might not give the desired results since the file
is almost certainly created with an AN1x, and the sysex parameters of the
AN1x/PLG150AN are slightly different). Furthermore, since the PLG150AN does
not respond to bulk requests, there is no way YOU can get it back to
AN1xEdit.

Hence your best bet is to ask some kind person on this list to send it to
their AN1x, then bulk request it back to AN1xEdit. Once there, it can be
saved to .AN1 format and re-uploaded to the list.
