Subject: SV: [AN1x-list] Hello...Already I got questions :-)

From: "J Acker" <jacker@...>
Date: 2001-03-08

Just wanted to say thanks to all the kind, knowledgeable folks that responded.
I probably will have lots more questions, but promise to try hard to figure it out
first, and to be clear. Also to test things that are testable.

Since buying my 880EX recorder, I have been on that list, and though I did it too, was
amazed sometimes at folks that asked a basic question, where they actually could have tested it
out themselves first in less time than it took to formulate the question in mail :-)

Like if I wonder if the AT settings get saved with a scene...well it takes no time to change the setting, save, go to the other scene and check, then in again.

Anyway...I love this machine..will check out some of the links I was sent, hoping for more detail on sound shaping and the internal routing that is going on.

For other beginners...the "schematic" on page 11, to me anyway, was somewhat helpful (it is the same one that is on the top of the unit) but the one in the Data book page 5 is waY more specific. I just looked more closely at it (but WHY is it soooo tiny??) and it has a lot of the answers of the routing/parameters (especially when they don't seem to do anything)...

I plan on blowing that page 5 diagram up quite a bit so I can read it without a lupe.

Anyway, thanks all for the help!

Jim
