Hi Jon,
Your remarks under 'By The Way' concerning Midisport 2∗2 USB midi-interface.
Same problems with mine midisport,iMac OS 8.6,latest versions OMS and drivers.
Another Midisport,a new one,also sysex-problems with the AN1x and other synt's.
Sound Diver didn't work fine,etc...Perhaps bufferproblems,or even output not
conform MIDI specification?? I have made some measurements, but it is not clear.
I used the device by using a Thru-port of goodworking synth to restore the
signal. But sysex remains the problem. As you know,on the iMac there is only
USB.
My solution at the end :-) ...
I bought an Emagic AMT8,all problems gone.It costs about three times a
midisport but you get 8-IN and 8-OUT and perfect timing and a kind of patchbay
with editor.I hope you can do something with this info.Perhaps you already
know.
If you think this is a problem for more listmembers we can discuss it there,
but there is a little subjects-overflow now at the moment i.m.o.
Cheers,Joop
