There was no idea behind it... it was just a "tweak of the knob"
I guess it just didn't have 'the sound' at '0' ;)
It's not a perfect patch... but i guess it's kinda hard to get "THE" sound
you want
from a synth that only has 2 osc's with 2 waves that you can trim down to
sine
and to be frank; the VCF isn't very 'musical' either, nor extreme in it's
settings...
Am i being overly perfectionistic now? :]
Now then, to start off a new interesting musical debate:
What would you consider an ideal synth for the sounds you like, and why?
For me: it's a 3 oscillator synth with all imaginable waveforms (saw,
triangle, pulse, ehr.. ramp? (isn't this a pulse with PWM btw?), sine,
reverse triangle, reverse saw) that are all syncable to eachother (so that
the harmonics can be VERY complex
and 'unusual') and with that a noise oscillator with many noisecolors - that
is syncable to the oscillators too.
And then: a very 'musical' VCF and VCA with ∗large∗ settings... (how much is
the maximum? theoretically? or what is reasonable, musically?)
Other than that i haven't really figured out what i want yet....
