All excellent suggestions (thanks guys!!).
I will investigate the "scene Level" aftertouch switch off.. (hope it
kills the transmission of the aftertouch CC). All modern synths SHOULD have
the feature (to turn off transmission of aftertouch).
Yes- I can filter the Aftertouch in Cubase (I'm on a Mac).- BUT I ran
into the problem when demo-ing Sounddiver while attempting to program/edit a
Peavey Spectrum Synth (I cannot get the sounddiver profile to work with the
Spectrum synth- a topic for another list- but if anyone has seen this combo
work please let me know if there is hope). The Spectrum Synth has some
aftertouch triggered modulations I find poor & un-musical- and the AN1-x
aftertouch was so sensitive, I kept triggering the mods.
I run all my synths in & out of two Peavy MidimasterII patchbays (into
an Opcode Translator Pro-sync)- on a beige G3.
If I'm unsuccessful on the AN1-x front, I'll filter out the Aftertouch
using one of the Peavy MidimasterII's midi filters (as Jon suggested).
