I have a stand-alone unit that's not hooked up to a computer or external sequencer, etc. so I'm not sure how to replace the battery and retain the factory sound programs when changing the battery. I'm thinking of taking the bottom off, plugging the unit in and changing the battery with external power hooked-up. Is this the correct way to do this? Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

Hello !
you can change the battery this way, but be very careful with any metal
part like a screwdriver or the battery itself : beware of short circuits
! Not for you, but for the chips... The factory preset sounds can be
recalled even when the battery is flat out, but of course your own
sounds cannot.
Cheers.
