Subject: CS6x plg150-an card file --to--> .syx .ans .an1 .an2 without CS6x ?

Hi,

CS6x + plg150-an card file --to--> .syx .ans .an1 .an2 without CS6x ?

#1. want to buy the vengeance-sounds soundset for CS6x + plg15O-an + SmartMedia card, but i dont wanna buy a CS6x + a SmartMedia card

http://www.vengeance-sound.com/eng/Detailscs6x.html
"This Soundset is not compatible to the "real" An1x"
sucks!!!

i dont see anywhere that translating the patches to AN200 Expert Editor
breaks the copyrights (c)(p)
since it will never be 1OO% exactly, no matter what, becouse the effects
since its basically the same plg150-an

maybe with the SQ editor librarian: ?
http://www.squest.com/Windows/Instruments/YamahaCS6x/index.html

#2. the keyfax regenerator for plg150-an does not seem that great... or its the .mp3 demos?
http://secure.keyfax.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Product_Code=VRegenerator

anyone here has it ? what do you think about it?
the .mp3 demos does not sound that attractive vs. vengeance sound .mp3 demo
same plg150-an !!!
...more? where ?

#3. thanks for all the great ideas but... i dont wanna buy an An1x or Cs6x becouse the jitter and fixed DA = no digital out
im happy with the kenton plugstation + lynx aes16+ls-adat combo + great DA
but..
working with digital hardware the clock sync/lock becomes a nightmare without SRC, becouse most digital devices not have a wordclock input, like kenton p.s. or roland varios
exeptions are the roland v-synth xt has a s/pdif input or access virus ti has s/pdif input

i think to save $$, and maybe buy an adat--to-->aes/ebu with w.c. input + src

like rme adi 8 dd/4dd, alesis ai-4 , etc... + a dramwmer m-clock SRC or mytek SRC, z-sys z-link96+ with clock input, lucid src9624 or a Lynx aes16e-src "pci-e" has 16src = the most cheap & complete souluttion, the aes16-src "pci "only has 8 src

the Adat+Aes SRC box "rme adi 192 dd" its too much $$$, but... its the all in one box
anynway.. im a bit worried about the SRC hardware quality by looking graphs like this::
www.bias-inc.com/products/peakPro5/resampling/peakResamplingWhitePaper.pdf
or this...
http://www.izotope.com/tech/src/

Havent found a graph like that, in hardware like: Lynx Aes16-SRC vs. others like: behringer SRC2496, behringer src2000, Lucid SRC9624, Z-sys z2src, Z-Sys Z3src, Z-Sys z-link96+, Rme adi 192 dd, tc electronic finalizer plus/96k, drawmer m-clock, Weiss, dbx quantum, Emu E-dsp, others...
im so eager to test src in hardware "realtime"
i remember the tc finalizer plus was a good up-src from 44.1k to 48k

#4. kenton plugstation+plg150-an owners here?

incredible, no kenton plugstation in youtube !!
only if i had a good camera...

Thanks

Juan,

Just to keep it short and sweet:

1. The AN1x is 11 years old. You need to keep your expectations of its
technology based upon 1997 criteria instead of 2008.

2. It seems the best advice for you to just go ahead and _buy_ yourself an
AN1x to demo it and see if it is what you want rather than try to jump
through a lot of conversions. If you don't like it, sell it off.

I realize that most younger musicians live in the world of virtual synths...
I completely understand the desire to have it all small, all in one system
and all under the control of one operating system. That would be a really
great world for a composer to live in. I hope I have the money to live
there someday.
