Subject: Stoopid Newbie Troubles

Hi there,
Dave from Australia here, new to the an1x but loving fooling around
with it. I have been using software synths in Logic Pro for the last
couple of years and decided to take the plunge into a hardware synth.
This is where I get stoopid.
My problem is that I can't hear some of the voices (particularly bass
voices) on the an1x. Also when i intitialise a voice using "template
1,2,3,7 & 8 I can't hear the initial waveform to begin customising
the sound. I can hear the waveform fine on 4,5 and 6 "template".Well
I can hear it but only if I really crank the interface which also
produces a lot of noise.
I suspect this maybe where I am going wrong.. I have the an1x plugged
into a single channel on my tascam fw1804 interface. I have a stereo
out cable that goes from the synth to a single input to plug into my
interface. Can someone advise if this is in fact stoopid and if so
how to connect properly to my interface. Secondly could this explain
the apparent lack of volume on some voices and initialised waveforms?
Despite my stoopidity I am loving the sounds of this thing. Special
appreciation to the creator of the logic environments..now I just
need to work out how to use them.
thanks,
Dave
