Yes sorry, didn't know the email would be an sent as an attachment.

If anyone has had a similar experience with the sequencer/arpeggiator sync on the AN1X please share.

Rob.

Hi Ondrash

I’ve tried doing a similar set up to you although the AN1X is set to MIDI channel 10 in my set up and I use Sonar 3.1. I tried a simple 2 octave up arpeggio and recorded the output like you said over 16 bars. In short the answer to your question in yes, the notes are slightly lagged but when you select them all and drag them back into the correct position they are all spot on at the beginning of the note grid with none of the timing anomalies like you have experienced so if this is a common problem with V1.02 or perhaps something else wrong with your AN1X then I’m not sure. I’ve heard a faulty PSU can cause lots of problems.

Anyhow the offset of the recorded notes in the arpeggiator is also the same with the sequencer which ain’t good especially when you want to record sequence MIDI CC sequence to use on other equiptment.
My assumption was some kind of MIDI latency as my AN1X is last in the MIDI chain so I connected it directly to my host sequencer (Sonar) only to find the AN1X, when synced to directly to the host sequencer started to play as soon as I hit the notes whether the main MIDI host was running or not!!!!!?
My MIDI setup consists of going through a Regalwerk sequencer first which must sever the MIDI clock from the rest of my gear until it gets the sync signal from Sonar.

Experimenting with the AN1X hooked up directly to Sonar I found it is actually achievable to get the timing of the arpeggiator/sequencer spot on although this requires steady timing with hitting the keys and is by no means ideal.

I’ve tried adjusting settings in Sonar but it appears to be outputting a constant MIDI clock which means that sadly my findings of the clock responding to MIDI start/stop may be due to other factors in my MIDI setup although I’m sure I had to physically hold a key down before I started the main clock source with v1.02.

This is by no means over quite yet folks, I will get to the bottom of this!

has 1.04 in An1x, who I know. :o) Could you please check my issue with
synchronization? I think it doesn't take much time.

Well. I guess You know my trouble. I have An1x with 1.02 OS and
Cubase4. Arppegiator from An1x doesn't synchronize with C4 correctly.
Could you try this sequence please and send me any response?

1. Set a tempo in the sequencer (135 BPM)
2. Set a tempo of arppegiator on An1x to MIDI
3. Press Start+Record in the sequencer
4. Press key on An1x for run arpeggiator at the first note on the bar
and record some part.
5. Go to piano Roll, if your fist note is not start exactly perfect,
select all notes and manually move them to the first position of the part.
6. Are others notes on the accurate position? Is the position notes
same as a Quantize grid? Not for me. I tried this issue with my friend
and he has some problem too. Some notes are delayed some go forward.
It is not about suffle settings. Notes are placed absolutely randomly.
And you?

My settings are:
Patch: Sq 126 Saturn
MIDI Tx Ch:1
Ptn Tx Ch: 2
Tempo: MIDI

Rob, Sorry, my English is not good. I try to resolve this issue half
of year but still without success. :o( Maybe new OS version will
resolve this issue forever. :o)

I don't have any problem to synchronize Access Virus with Cubase for
Example...

Thank you very much.
