FWIW that's about the only time I *would* just shotgun the power supply capacitors.<br>
<br>
I've found maybe about a dozen "bad caps" in various bits of electronic equipment over the years, but half of them had been murdered by shorted bridge rects in linear power supplies.<br>
<br>
Most of the rest were in the same EDP Wasp.<br>
