I like your concept. I thought about that topic as well. From the reading of your concept it should work, and I assume you checked the analog part with LTSpice.

My own solution concerning this was an "Autotune for everyone" module. With this module you can gain digital control over pure analog VCOs as a postinstallable additional module for modulars. The analog VCOs stay unchanged. So I did not create a DCO core like in your concept but an external digital clamp for otherwise analog VCOs. On interest continue reading on <a href="https://www.analog-monster.de/t908_en.html">T908 Autotune Module (analog-monster.de)</a> with a detailed description of the concept, the schematic and the software modi of the running prototype.

A while back (2022), I had an idea for an oscillator design which could
</div>
<div>
be used in modular or hybrid synth's, but I have not yet tested the
</div>
<div>
concept. The oscillator may be digitally controlled or voltage
</div>
<div>
controlled, or both at once. I'm not sure if this technique has already
</div>
<div>
been tried and proven. I haven't seen any evidence of it, so I would be
</div>
<div>
grateful if anyone with a greater knowledge of the art can tell me if
</div>
<div>
this is a novel idea, or a concept that has appeared before. (See

<div>
attached summary.)
