Obviously they don't make new masks for every transistor on the planet, but providing the specs are withjn the minimum and maximum bounds for each device it hardly matters. There's probably a 2N...., BC... and 2SB.... number for what are effectively identical
devices so there's already lots of duplication that can be avoided.<br>
