Both are rather inaccurate voltages. The original arrangement was just the open-anode of a single valve with the transformer moved to the speaker. It was only when valve amps went push-pull with a transformer required in the amplifier that the HT voltage
was removed from the speaker cable :-)<br>

Presumably 70V line, which is what Americans call 100V line. It's the kind of thing you use for Tannoys in large establishments. I look after several hundred such installs at work.<br>
