Would SIMPLE GREEN all purpose cleaner be good to use instead of alcohol since it is biodegradable and may be less corrosive ? -

alcohols will clean it off, but then the microphone won’t be suitable for any form of hand-holding, and you’ll need a good anti-vibration mounting which makes removing it a bit pointless.</span></p>
