Most Mackie mixer inputs do this.<br class="">

> Not a complicated question here. I am pretty familiar with mono jacks in eurorack (thonkiconn). But I am looking at a schematic of a Mackie mixer and the line input jack looks like this. Obviously, I see the ground and also the ground is normalled to the two positions. The 2 positions is what is confusing me though. If it is a mono input, why is there 2 positions? Does one get grounded when a jack is inserted? Sorry, I feel like I am asking a stupid question. Thanks<br class="">
