I'm looking at an ART 2 channel passive DI box <br>

The problems I'm trying to solve are:<br>

1. My MOTM has such hot signals that they need attenuation<br>
<br>
2. A ground loop problem between my MOTM and mixer<br>
<br>
For this DI box to work, I'd need to buy or make a cable with XLR on one <br>
end and 1/4 inch TS on the other. The DI box has a ground lift which I'm <br>
nearly certain I would use. I would probably use one or both of the DI <br>
box input attenuators.<br>

Is my idea practical? How do you guys solve such problems?<br>
