      For one thing, it's not stereoscopic, as was in the thread title
      ;) Some types of fiddly prototyping work can't be done well
      without depth perception.<br>
      Be that the case or not.<br>
      It may be cheaper, but it won't last anywhre near as long as a
      purely optical system, which you can probably pass down some
      generations ;)<br>
      This is not just consumer electronics, its china consumer
      electronics.<br>

      Also with this parcitular model: The optics part look very similar
      to some USB scope I once had, the sensor/sensor of which ware pure
      garbage, could hardly see any fine structures with that.<br>
      This guy demos some of those, and i know one who has the one for
      ~200 bucks, which seems to work quite well.<br>
