 There's already a bunch of things going on with rtpMIDI and MIDI<br>
over IP, to be honest my big problem is that it adds a huge cost to<br>
small developers as they'll need a CPU/MCU capable of driving<br>
ethernet and handling the ethernet Stack.<br>

 I was involved, whilst at Modal, with the MMA (working on the MPE<br>
standard) but I know they were working on a MIDI V2, will be<br>
interesting to see what approaches they take.<br>
