</span>Relying on the overcurrent protection of an unknown power supply probably isn’t a good idea. The modern switchers have that hiccup mode, i.e. they deliver short but hefty current pulses into a short. I’ve seen pulses of 8 amperes from a wall wart with output shorted.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Which is why you put fuses on the module. </div></div></div></div>
