That is the WHOLE POINT of the EuroSynth
Specification. To try and get some sense and control back in to it
before the whole EuroRack concept just dies a
self-generate death.

Many of the points you raised are covered
by the specification. Some can't.

We specify M3 which is the norm now in
EuroRack although M2.5 was always the original 19" rack
option.
You can't force metal manufacturers to
make only one form of rail and they certainly won't do it
for the EuroRack or any other market. the 19"
specification refers to the height, width and other factors
but not the the depth of the slots or even that you have to
have threaded strips.
Lipless rails are NOT Eurorack, they are
FracRack. I don't know where that idea came from but every
19" rack system I have seen since 1970+ has had lipped
rails. The feeble argument for lipless
rails is the extra panel space - but that is incredibly
weak considering how incompatible it is with the other
systems.

Power Connector solution IS
poor but a decision was made with the EuroSynth
Specification to acknowledge that their are probably
millions of modules out there using it and not any sense
in changing it to a totally different type. What the
EuroSynth Specification does do is refine the busboard side of the connector to make it work better, and YES, it is still backwards
compatible with existing EuroRack
systems.

Bringing out a new connector
in EuroRack has been tried before and i think the sales
volumes show that it doesn't work. Our busboards and
modules already have a dual-footprint for IDC or 0.156"
(MOTM) connectors so we can ALREADY manufacture our own Eurorack systems using a
superior connector solution but you try convincing
the 1000's of existing users to change all their systems
over because YOU want to use a better connector....
There are a bucket load of threads
about reversed connectors, impedance problems and lots
of long-winded suggestions on how to resolve it but even
the 'EuroRack Manufacturers' have state
that they won't change (why? because they are
(a) scared of upsetting a few
existing users and (b) can't be bothered to admit
the problem and make the tiny changes needed for even
the simplest of improvements)
